How To Use Our Reflective Sign Blanks

At the Reflective Sign Shop, we create all kinds of reflective decals, letter, numbers and signs.  We also make reflective sign blanks for customers who want to letter their own sign with standard non reflective vinyl and create a reflective sign that can be seen at night.

As you probably know, a reflective sign can have either a non reflective background and reflective letters, or a reflective background and non reflective letters. Either method gives the letters sufficient contrast to be seen clearly day or night.   Signs with the background reflective will get a little more attention since there is more reflective surface for light to reflect off of.  However, a reflective border can be added to the reflective letters sign to add dimension.

We create reflective sign blanks by overlaying coroplast with an Oralite 5650 Rapid Air reflective film.  Oralite manufactures the highest quality and brightest reflective films in the industry.  So what you receive from our company will be a 12 x 18 inch sign blank, laminated on one side or both sides with reflective sheeting.  The sign will be ready for you to letter using a standard vinyl cutter or hobby cutter. (Cricut, Silhouette, etc.)

To use our reflective sign blanks, simple cut your letters using a vinyl cutter, transfer tape them, then apply either dry or wet to the sign face.  I prefer the wet method since it lets me slide the letters into a perfect position. Then I simply squeegee them on, and remove the transfer tape.

As you can see from the picture above, it is a very simple process.  You letters will be highly contrasted by the bright background, increasing the visibility of your sign at night many times.
